A huge crowd turned out to see a series of exciting races and to enjoy the country fair atmosphere. Terrier Racing began the fun at midday with some entries rather more skilled than others. One contestant started well, became nappy and returned to her owner who was reported to have said that "She'd have done better if they had a bag of chips." Hounds met their public in the paddock at 1:15pm and then paraded on the course. They received a very warm welcome. The first race set out for
the trip of just over 3 miles. For results and full listings
