A competition, held at Warren Barn Farm, Woldingham, between:
OSB&WK
Before
the last race of the day, which was for the Basset hounds, some wag
suggested that Mark Bycroft be sponsored to lay the trail. Nearly
£100 was raised in a matter of seconds, so Mark and other
'willing' hunt staff were sent off to "run" round the course in blazing
heat. The Basset hounds actually gave up on the scent half way round
(too much sweat and alcohol fumes I think) and overtook their quarry on
the way home.Surrey Union CL&C Crawley & Horsham Southdown & Eridge Mid Surrey Drag East Kent with a guest appearance from Wagby's Basset Hounds (or the Toad Hall Blazers)
